self sending letter

To the 10 year old child I had been:

I haven’t thought of you for a while. I was too preoccupied that I didn’t have much time to dwell on the thoughts of a 10-year old me.

I’m sorry I haven’t achieved all that you wanted to achieve before. The saddest part maybe was that my academic life was not as good as yours have been and I haven’t been able to keep my promise that I will be able to reunite my family ‘as soon as possible’. Ten years have passed.

I had so many mistakes and failures for the past ten years of existence but I do not want this letter to be full of ’sorry’.

What did I achieve so far that you could be proud of?

1.I am able to communicate with your friends during your elementary years.

2.I am still a non-smoker.

3.I have been into romantic relationships and have learned a lot.

4. I am able to get to college and is now finding ways to be able to unburden my parents of sending me to school.

5. I made friends with my enemies before.

6. I am making writing a habit again.

7. I am a proud mother now.

8. I am starting to make a plan for my life now.

9. I have helped charity organizations through donations.

10. I have surpassed all the challenges that Life gave me for the past ten years.

I would still continue living and loving. Thank you for the wonderful memories you made for it helped me go through life.

I hope that five or ten years from now, when I am going to write a letter to you again, there would be more achievements that I could write about. Thank you very much. I love you.

Sincerely yours,

the 20 year old me

The 10 Worst Things that could Happen on Your Way to Work (or school)

1. While walking in the street, someone grabbed you and made you a hostage.

2. Totally forgot your reports, presentation materials, or projects.

3. Be stuck on a 30-min or more traffic jam.

4. Be splashed with water/mud all over your dress by an overspeeding car.

5. Your car/the bus/jeep you’re riding is caught by the traffic officer when you’re in such a hurry.

6. Fall into a manhole.

7. Your dress/shirt/pants get ripped off by some shitty protruding sharp-edged objects.

8. You forgot your ID and the guard won’t let you in.

9. Witnessing a super gross accident.

10. Walking/driving/travelling in such a hurry for about 30 minutes only to realize that you have no work/class for that day.ü

Why do people try to alter the environment, make this complicated, then try all his might to make living life simple again?

the things i love about my course

Posted in brainjuice, daily with tags , , on 28 August '08 by headcracker

one of those things is to be able to know new words and meanings and use it. then some persons would look at me and say, “What’s that? Where did you get that?” And I’ll just tell them, “A gift of my course.” Haha! In our campus, our course is somewhat regarded as a low class of course since they claim that ‘it doesn’t deal with sciences’ and the students opted to study the course because they are not intelligent enough to deal with the sciences. But hey! If we wanted to study a different course, we would have done it. It’s just this is where our passion directed us.

Anyways, here are some of it. I’ll post the other ones next time.

bahookie- buttocks

celebutante- a celebrity who is very fashionable

mentee- the person you mentor

twonk- stupid person

froyo- frozen yogurt

I repainted my nails with bold red color. It was my way of relaxing. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t know if it will suit my skin tone. But I want something different so I went for it.

I did it all by myself. I think I must have spent almost two and a half hour for that because I kept on doing it all over again. I felt some pains in my neck and back.ü

There was a feeling of joy while seeing each nail transform from a seemingly lifeless one into a colorful one.ü

next time i’ll try some bright colors.

Don’t let your special character and values, the secret that you know and no one else does, the truth – don’t let that get swallowed up by the great chewing complacency.~ Aesop

The depth and strength of a human character are defined by its moral reserves. People reveal themselves completely only when they are thrown out of the customary conditions of their life, for only then do they have to fall back on their reserves. ~ Leon Trotsky
